Matching the capacity of passenger processes to the expected passenger volume is a constant tension at airports. The quality of passenger forecasts, the available capacity of facilities and the behaviour of passengers are important ingredients for successfully managing the capacity of terminal processes. If these pieces of the puzzle do not fit together, the consequences are not pleasant: waiting passengers when there is too little capacity or unnecessary costs when there is too much capacity. Bostec helped Schiphol put this puzzle together.
